Paulaner USA Expects Record 2024 Oktoberfest Season
Paulaner USA, known for importing Paulaner and Hacker Pschorr beers, has reported strong results for the first half of 2024. They anticipate a record-breaking Oktoberfest season this year.
The importer saw a 16.0% increase in sales for the Paulaner Brand Family in the first half of the year, driven by commitments from chain stores and growing distribution in independent channels.
Steve Hauser, President and CEO of Paulaner USA, highlighted successful spring resets in major grocery and big box retailers. He noted a 7% rise in distribution across both chain stores and independent retailers for their brands.
According to consumer data from IRI, retail distribution growth has been positive, matching their sales performance with a 9.4% increase through June.
Paulaner USA now ranks among the top 10 European imports and has shown the highest growth rate within that group during the first half of 2024.
As Oktoberfest season kicks off, Paulaner anticipates strong demand for their products, traditionally the best-selling beers at Munich Oktoberfest. Orders have reached a record high, with popular products nearly sold out. Hauser expressed optimism about meeting demands from distributors and retailers.
