Hofbräu Beer from the Legendary Hofbräuhaus
Hofbräu was founded in 1589 and it was founded by Wilhelm V, Duke of Bavaria. I’m not kidding… The Duke of Bavaria!!! (our current politicians don’t have that kinda sense 😀). Do you know where Hofbräu was located originally? Maybe you have been there already…take a guess… Yes, the famous tourist attraction is Hofbräuhaus am Platzl.
In the 19th century due to lack of space, Hofbräu moved to Innere Wiener Straße where Munich’s most beautiful beer garden Hofbräukeller is still located Now Hofbräu Brewery is under state government and they have their own Oktoberfest Song. At Oktoberfest, you can find Hofbräu beer, One of the strongest of Oktoberfest beers with 6.2% at Hofbräuzelt.
At Oktoberfest, you can find Hofbräu being served exclusively in the Hofbräu Festzelt. Oans, zwoa, g’suffa
